Satakunnan käräjäoikeus (Satakunta District Court). A 43-year-old parish pastor was convicted of three counts of sexual abuse of a child and three counts of breach of official duty, sentenced to one year and two months' conditional imprisonment. Between April and September 2023 he used Snapchat, accessed through his parish youth-ministry role, to send sexually suggestive messages and shirtless photos to children in the parish almost daily. Three victims were identified; each was awarded 2,000-3,000 euros in compensation. The suspected offending came to the parish's attention in autumn 2023.
