Landgericht Ellwangen, Germany. A 35-year-old Islamic religious teacher was convicted on 18 counts including rape, sexual abuse of dependants and sexual abuse of children against seven boys aged 12–17 at a student dormitory he supervised in his religious-instructor role. He was sentenced to eight and a half years with a five-year ban on working with male minors. Neither side appealed and the verdict became final.
