Bernardino Batista dos Santos, 78, a priest removed by the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte in 2021 after dozens of accusations, was sentenced to 24 years and 9 months in prison for rape of a vulnerable person against more than 60 victims, minors aged 3 to 11 at the time, with offenses alleged to have occurred since 1975.
